We’ve had some big spring tides recently, which often means that unusual things get found washed ashore, or out to sea. In this case we were called to a kayak that had been picked up from the shore by the big tides, and carried out to sea. We were asked by the coastguard to go and recover the kayak as they were getting repeated calls reporting an empty kayak out at sea. So it was a quick trip across to Mothercombe to pick it up and bring it back to the station.
If you recognise the kayak please drop us a message so that we and the coastguard can close the case.
